N. Cunningham Traffic Control Officer

Overview

Traffic Control Officers report directly to the Patrol Division Commander. TCOs are non-sworn employees whose direct function is to maintain safe and effective traffic control during special events or circumstances.

TCOs primarily are responsible for assisting with traffic at specific schools in Shepherdsville; acting as school crossing guards. TCOs assist with students crossing the streets and perform traffic control to assist vehicles entering and exiting school property.

TCOs are also tasked with parking enforcement throughout the city.
