House Watch Program: When residents are away from their homes for any period of time, the police department personnel will walk around the property to ensure that the property is secure.  This is done on a regular basis until the residents return. 

K9:  Jordy is a Belgian Malinois.  Jordy is used to conduct random searches at area schools, building searches, suspect apprehension, locating missing persons, demonstrations, etc.  This is the only K9 unit in Bullitt County and it is used by all local agencies.

Criminal Investigation:  The department handles all criminal offenses that occur within the City.  The Criminal Investigation Division has fully trained personnel that investigate minor offenses like theft or major cases such as murder.

DARE:  An Officer teaches DARE courses at city elementary schools.

Security Survey:  The Shepherdsville Police Department will send a trained crime prevention officer to your home or business to conduct a security survey and make recommendations on ways to make it more secure.

Drug Task Force:  The Bullitt County Drug Task Force handles drug offenses that occur in Bullitt County.  If you have any leads for the Drug Task Force call (502) 543-8242.

IdentaKid:  This kit, available to parents, includes any pertinent information about their child(ren) if they come up missing.  The kit includes a picture, fingerprints, school information, records information, and any other details that would assist the Police Department.

Gunlocks:  The Shepherdsville Police Department is committed to making sure that weapons are safely locked in homes.  If you have any guns that you need a lock for, the Police Department has those available for you at no cost.
